Last week, on the 2nd and 3rd of October, we held our Kick-off Meeting, bringing together 29 participants, including researchers, administrators, and students from FCiências.ID (FC.ID), Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (CIÊNCIAS-ULisboa), University of Galway (GALWAY) and Politecnico di Torino (POLITO). Of the attendees, 25 participated in-person and 4 joined online.
The first day focused on providing an overview of the project and its work packages, as well as assigning leaders and setting key dates for the activities of the upcoming three years. To foster team building and create opportunities for getting to know one another, FC.ID organised an ice breaker activity and a social dinner. During the day, POLITO and GALWAY also had the chance to visit Instituto de Biofísica e Engenharia Biomédica (IBEB) laboratories.
On the second day, representatives from the three institutions (FC.ID/CIÊNCIAS, GALWAY and POLITO) presented their ongoing research. The day concluded with a visit to TecLabs, the CIÊNCIAS incubator, offering participants insights into its innovation ecosystem.
