Work package 5 dedicated to the training on briging medical devices to clinical trials has started. The first training on “Training School on Clinical Trial Design and Management” happened from the 22nd to 26th of June, organised by the University of Galway (GALWAY) in Galway, Ireland.
The school gathered a total of 34 participants: 18 participants from FC.ID/CIÊNCIAS (8 in-person and 10 online), 11 participants from GALWAY (in-person), 5 participants from POLITO (3 in-person and 2 online), as well as invited speakers from different irish institutions.
The one-week school provided training on ethics, on medical device regulations and standards, on clinical evaluation of a medical imaging device and study design, on data and research management and on statistics and analysis. It also provided exchange of experiences with researchers who were involved in establishing clinical trials for their products.
