Researchers from FCiências.ID and CIÊNCIAS continue to carry out scientific missions to the University of Galway to perform dielectric measurements on human tissues.
During the fourth mission, held from January 21st to 24th, PhD student Rafaella Coelho (FC.ID/CIÊNCIAS) conducted measurements on different human tissues from 5 patients. Later, on March 26th-27th, PhD student Henrique Lopes travelled to Galway to carry out additional measurements on tissues from 1 additional patient.
In addition to providing specialised training opportunities, these missions have enabled FC.ID/CIÊNCIAS researchers to collect valuable data on the dielectric properties of biological tissues, contributing to advances in the state of the art. More missions are planned for the coming months.
