On the 29th of January, a working session dedicated to the TWINNING programme (HORIZON‑WIDERA‑2026‑02) was organised by FCiências.ID (FC.ID). The session brought together researchers and representatives from CIÊNCIAS Research Units interested in this European funding scheme.
The event opened with a brief presentation of the TWINNING programme, outlining its objectives, main requirements, and the opportunities it offers for research institutions. This was followed by a Q&A session and discussion focused on practical experiences from two successful TWINNING projects at CIÊNCIAS:
- TWIN2PIPSA (BioISI), presented by Professor Cláudio Gomes;
- 3BAtwin (IBEB), presented by Dr. Daniela Godinho.
These presentations provided valuable insights into the proposal preparation process, key challenges, and lessons learned. The session concluded with an open discussion on potential synergies between Research Units and on the possibility of external support for the preparation of future proposals, fostering collaboration and strategic planning.
