World Alzheimer’s Day 2025

Every year on September 21, World Alzheimer’s Day is marked worldwide to raise awareness, fight stigma, and highlight research progress.

The Wavision Research Group from Politecnico di Torino has been exploring new ways to detect Alzheimer’s earlier and more accurately using microwave sensing. Because Alzheimer’s alters the structure and composition of the brain, microwave sensing may help identify the disease in its early stages – potentially offering a non-invasive, affordable, and widely accessible diagnostic tool.
